c.s. | a series on my favorite composers, this one is clara schumann, the woman near the top of the board.
her husband, another composer, went to an insane asylum, leaving her to care for her 8 children. over the years and fairly quickly, they all died before her. she got engaged to another composer, brahms, and she got stood up at the alter. she mourned so much she chose to always wear black. her pieces express an agony inexplicable and extremely felt by those who understand that kind of pain.
suggested listen : soirees musicales op.6 no.2 notturno, my favorite cover of it is by fiona mato.
