Countess of Sussex * Festival of Remembrance | Every year, the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall honors the service and sacrifices of the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces community. This annual service is held on the second Sunday of November to commemorate the signing of the armistice that ended World War I at "the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" in 1918. Across the U.K., services are conducted at the same time in memory of the dead.

Queen Lucille * Remembrance Event at Westminster | On November 7, 2024, Queen Lucille attended the official opening of the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey in London. Queen Lucille is Patron of the Poppy Factory, which supports members of the Armed Forces community and their families on their journey into employment, helping hundreds of veterans each year.

Countess of Sussex * Remembrance Service | On July 13, 2024, Queen Mathilde and King Philippe of Belgium, accompanied by Princess Gwen, attended the ceremony at the Cenotaph in London in memory of the soldiers who lost their lives in the two World Wars. The event was held in the presence of Belgian and British veterans, as well as detachments of the Belgian Defence. This ceremony commemorates the fallen of Belgium and Great Britain during the World Wars. Belgium is the only non-Commonwealth country allowed to parade in full gear and armed in the streets of London since 1934. This privilege was granted in honor of the heroism and sacrifices of the Belgian army during the First World War.

Countess of Sussex * Banquet for Japan's Emperor | On the evening of June 25, King George and Queen Lucille hosted a State Banquet at Buckingham Palace in honor of Japan's Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako. Among the approximately 150 guests at the banquet were members of the royal family and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The Duke of York, The Countess and Earl of Sussex, and other members of the Royal Family were in attendance at the State Banquet.

Countess of Sussex * British Pavilion Opening | On July 25, 2024, Gwen, the Countess of Sussex and Kyle, the Earl of Sussex participated in the opening of the British pavilion at the GB House at the Pavillon D’Armenonville in Paris. The Countess and Earl then attended the IOC and Elysee Dinner at the Louvre. The Countess and Earl will attend the opening ceremony of the 33rd edition of the Olympic Games on July 26. GB is represented by 327 athletes across 20 different sports.
