Countess of Sussex * Lighthouse Charity | On December 18, Princess Gwen, the Countess of Sussex visited the Lighthouse charity in Woking. The Lighthouse has approximately 300 volunteers who work together to address deprivation and isolation, transforming lives by promoting well-being, independence, and hope. During her visit, the Princess assisted volunteers in serving food and spent time talking with beneficiaries. The Princess serves as the Patron of the Lighthouse charity.

Countess of Sussex * Malta Day 2 Museums | On the second day of their visit, the Countess and Earl of Sussex visited the Valletta National War Museum. Then, the Countess and Earl attended a reception at the Maritime Museum in Birgu.

Countess of Sussex * Strathcarron Hospice | On November 1, 2024, Princess Gwen, the Countess of Sussex, visited Strathcarron Hospice in Fankerton, Scotland, to speak with staff, volunteers, supporters, and patients. As part of her visit, the Princess was given a presentation by staff on the Hospice’s two ongoing projects in partnership with Glenochil Prison, focusing on frailty and bereavement.

Countess of Sussex * British Pavilion Opening | On July 25, 2024, Gwen, the Countess of Sussex and Kyle, the Earl of Sussex participated in the opening of the British pavilion at the GB House at the Pavillon D’Armenonville in Paris. The Countess and Earl then attended the IOC and Elysee Dinner at the Louvre. The Countess and Earl will attend the opening ceremony of the 33rd edition of the Olympic Games on July 26. GB is represented by 327 athletes across 20 different sports.

Countess of Sussex * 50th Anniversary Memorial | A memorial was held for the 21 people killed 50 years ago in the IRA pub bombings in Birmingham. On November 21, 2024, Princess Gwen, the Countess of Sussex, attended to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the pub bombings, alongside politicians and dignitaries. During the memorial service, the Princess gave a speech on behalf of The King. On November 21, 1974, bombs exploded separately at the Mulberry Bush, located at the foot of the Rotunda building, and the Tavern in the Town on New Street, killing 21 people and injuring over 200.

Countess of Sussex * Team GB Flagbearer Announceme | On July 24, 2024, Princess Gwen attended the Team GB Flagbearer announcement at the British Embassy in Paris, France, ahead of the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Olympic gold medallists Helen Glover MBE and Tom Daley OBE have been announced as Team GB’s Opening Ceremony flag bearers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
