Countess of Sussex * National Cycling Centre | On February 23, Princess Gwen, the Countess of Sussex, on behalf of the Duchess of York, attended the opening day of The British Cycling National Track Championships held at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester. The Princess tried adaptive cycling. Run by British Cycling, the centre provides cycling opportunities for disabled people, regardless of age, impairment and ability. During the visit, Princess Gwen met with volunteers from the disability and para-cycling programme The Limitless, and presented jerseys to the newly-crowned national champions. The Duchess of York is Patron of The British Cycling Federation.

Countess of Sussex * Macmillan Cancer Centre | On April 30, 2024, Prince Rupert, The Duke of York and Princess Gwen, the Countess of Sussex visited University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre in London. The Prince and Princess visited the centre, meeting patients and staff. The Duke of York is Patron of Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support. The charity provides a wide range of support to people living with cancer and promotes better cancer care.

Countess of Sussex * Surrey History Centre | On January 31, the Countess of Sussex, on behalf of the Duchess of York, paid a visit to The Lighthouse in Woking. There, the Countess met with volunteers and local people supported by The Lighthouse. Afterwards, the Duchess visited Surrey History Centre in Woking. The Countess toured the Centre’s extensive heritage services and spoke with the staff and volunteers. Princess Gwen saw the Centre’s collections, including a signed letter by Lady Jane Grey, a Tudor swan roll, photographs and papers relating to the Surrey regiments on the Western Front, early Surrey maps and a rare 18th century handwritten Qur’an.
