Countess of Sussex * The Entente Cordiale Parade | On April 8, 2024, Princess Gwen attended a parade to commemorate the 120th anniversary of The Entente Cordiale at Buckingham Palace in London. On behalf of King George, The Princess inspected 32 members of the 1st and 2nd Infantry regiments of the Garde Republicaine and 40 guardsmen from F Company Scots Guards, lined up opposite their French counterparts. The event marks the first time a country from outside the Commonwealth has taken part in the Changing of the Guard on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace. In London, the ceremony was watched by Princess Gwen, while in Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron observed the Parade.

Countess of Sussex * Memorial for King Constantine | On February 27, a service of thanksgiving for the life of King Constantine II of Greece was held at St George’s Chapel in Windsor. King George, Queen Lucille, Princess Gwen, the Duke of York and other members of the Greek royal family attended this special memorial service for King Constantine. Other members of other Royal Families attended the service. King Constantine, who was the last King of Greece, passed away at the age of 82 in January last year. He was also a close friend of his second cousin King George.
